Manuela
Breen
January 31st 1959 - January 15th 2001.
Manuela
Breen had her first introduction to microlight flying in 1984
when she was asked to act as ´co-pilot` in Gerry’s successful
attempt at the world two seat distance record.

& Manuela prior to their World beating 12 ½ hour flight
She
flew both weightshift and 3 Axis microlights, and also flew paragliders,
winning the first Portuguese championships in 1990. She also did
free fall parachuting in California having jumped from 14,000
feet! She had a great spirit of adventure. She worked extremely
hard at building the training school and Lagos Aerodrome into
what it is today. She was mother to two wonderful children, Amy
born in 1989 and Philipp in 1994, both budding aviators who first
flew when they were only 2 years old!

& Philipp - keen budding aviators
Sadly
Manuela passed away in January 2001 after a brave fight against
cancer but her influence will continue to live on at the Centre.
